Lahore looks nothing short of a fortress right now as, first international cricket match is played in the terror ridden country in over six years.
Only Zimbabwe could have dared to travel to Pakistan and play in the midst of all the terror activities, Zimbabwe cricket team was in dyer need of some action, as they last played in the World Cup.
For Pakistan this series is much more then just a game of cricket, It is a mean to demonstrate the world that they are capable of hosting foreign teams, that they can take care of the security.
Zimbabwean team was advised not to travel by international player association,FICA, and their own foreign ministry, but the board and team decided to go ahead with the tour, giving Pakistan a hope.
Cricket returns to a cricket crazy nation, the reception to the Zimbabwe team by people in Pakistan has amazed the players, and it seems that the world is finally over the horrible incident of 2009 and is willing to give Pakistan another chance.
Though Pakistani fans will want a dominating performance from their team but this series means much more to Pakistan as a country then just a competition of bat and ball.
