Lava International’s sub brand, Xolo, which launched it’s new model on Friday, Xolo Black, is looking forward to invest Rs 100 crore in next 18 months on development of its proprietary software, Hive.
According to reports, Hive is built on Google’s Android OS.
Xolo Black will exclusively be sold through flipkart at a price of 12,999.

Vishal Sehgal, the co-founder and director of Lava International said that, “We have so far investment Rs 100 crore and will invest Rs 100 crore towards the development of our Hive OS and the software ecosystem with a focus on improved customer experience.”
The new smartphone launched, Xolo Black, will be the company’s online only series of smartphone.

Xolo Black has a slim 7.3mm body with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on front and back and also has a dual camera feature, with a combination of 13 megapixel sensor and a 2 megapixel depth sensor, similar to HTC One phones. The UbiFocus feature lets you change focus after capturing the image. The camera also has a focusing time of 0.15 seconds and an OptiZoom feature to improve the quality of digital zoom. The phone also has a Photo Studio app powered by Adobe.
The latest smartphone, Xolo Black, features the latest version of Hive UI, built on Android Kitkat Os.
