WTA Ranking: Muguruza RisesTo No 2; Djokovic Remains No 1 | NWI

Garbine Muguruza has climbed to a career-high No. 2 in the latest WTA rankings following her stunning French Open triumph over Serena Williams in the final on Saturday.

In just her second grand slam final, Muguruza produced the best tennis of her career to derail World No. 1 Williams 7-5 6-4 and capture her maiden major title. It was her second major final, following a loss to Williams at Wimbledon a year ago.

Novak Djokovic, who won his fourth consecutive major title by beating Andy Murray in the French Open final Sunday, added to his lead atop the ATP rankings. Djokovic has more ranking points than No. 2 Murray and No. 3 Roger Federer combined.
