Vijay Mallya's Presence At Book Launch Event In London Leads To A Row | NWI

A controversy has been erupted after liquor baron Vijay Mallya was seen at the book launch event in London.

Reportedly, the Indian envoy in London who was also attending the event left after seeing the business tycoon.

The event held at the London School of Economics was to launch the book – Mantras for Success: India’s Greatest CEOs Tell You How to Win, which is written by Indian author Suhel Seth, with journalist Sunny Sen as co-author.

As per reports, after the book launch a panel discussion also took place where Indian High Commissioner to Britain Navtej Sarna was present.

To Clarify the presence of both Indian envoy and Vijay Mallya, Suhel Seth took to Twitter and posted:

About @TheVijayMallya at my book launch. It was an open @SAsiaLSE & advertised on Twitter. No specific invitations. Anyone could attend.

Post the book launch there was a reception hosted by @HCI_London to which neither was @TheVijayMallya invited nor did he attend! Simple.

Mallya has been declared a proclaimed offender in India by a court in connection with a money laundering case.
