Uttarakhand Police Horse Shaktiman, Injured During BJP Protest, Passes Away | NWI

Police horse ‘Shaktiman’ who was injured during a BJP protest in Dehradun, passed away on Wednesday.

According to reports, the brave horse died while undergoing treatment in Dehradun.

Shaktiman was allegedly attacked by BJP legislator from Mussourie, Ganesh Joshi, near the Uttarakhand Assembly on March 14.

He had to be amputated after suffering multiple fractures in one of his legs.

The incident lead a massive outrage. Joshi was arrested and later released on bail.

Now the political blame game has already begun over the death, BJP leader Ajay Bhatt said in his statement ” Saddened.The State Govt is to be blamed for Shaktiman’s death,the medical treatment was inadequate.”
