Uttarakhand Crisis: Harish Rawat Claims To Prove Majority Ahead Of Floor Test | NWI

JP leader on Sunday slammed former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat saing that the Congress leader could go any extent to save his chair.

“Harish Rawat can go to any extent to save his chair, he is buying his own MLAs,” he said while reacting to Rawat’s statement.

Earlier, Rawat expressed his optimism about his victory in the floor test, which is scheduled to take place on May 10.

“We will prove our majority,” he said today.

Rawat said that two of the top bureaucrats of the state were being blackmailed to stop him from proving majority in the state.

“I’ve decided that after result of May 10, we’ll wage a war against blackmailers,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Nainital High Court on Saturday reserved its order on a plea filed by rebel Congress MLAs challenging their disqualification under anti-defection law by the Speaker.

The court will now pronounce its verdict on May 9 at 10 am.
