The unique identification authority of India (UIDAI), last year, relaxed its rules to bring children under five years of age to its ambit.

According to UIADI official website, earlier children were not registered for Aadhaar as up to age of 5 kid’s biometric data keep changing.”

But the rules were changed after PM Narendra Modi gave the directive that children can be tracked from birth.

Under the new rules, kids are allowed to have Aadhaar registration even if they had no name and their biometric details can be captured after the age of 6.
