A Delhi court on Saturday took cognizance of chargesheet filed against ex-chief of TERI RK Pachauri for allegedly sexually harassing a former woman colleague in February 2015.
A Delhi court on Saturday took cognizance of chargesheet filed against ex-chief of TERI RK Pachauri for allegedly sexually harassing a former woman colleague in February 2015.
The court said that there is sufficient material to proceed against Pachauri under section 354 A, 354 B, 354D,509 and 341, drops section 506 of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Reportedly, the court has fixed July 11 as the date to supply copy of chargesheet to RK Pachauri.
Earlier, Delhi Police chargesheeted Pachuari under various sections of the Indian Penal Code dealing with assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty, sexual harassment, stalking, criminal intimidation and word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman.
The police cited around 23 prosecution witnesses and several phone text messages, e-mails and WhatsApp messages exchanged between the accused and victim as evidence to support its case.
