The daughter-in-law and three grandchildren of a former Congress lawmaker, Siricilla Rajaiah were found dead after a fire broke out at his residence on Wednesday morning in Telangana’s Warangal.

According to local media reports, a gas cylinder leak is believed to have triggered the fire which killed Rajaiah’s daughter-in-law Sarika and her three sons. However, the police are investigating to ascertain the cause of the fire.
Rajaiah was supposed to file his nomination papers for the Warangal Lok Sabha bye-election on Wednesday on behalf of the Congress. Last year, Sarika had filed a case of harassment and even sat in protest outside her father-in-law’s house with her three children.
