Biju Janata Dal (BJD) workers on Friday threw stones at the car of Union Minister of State for Textiles Santosh Gangwar’s in Bargarh.
The hundreds of BJD workers led by local MLA Debesh Acharya attacked the minister’s car while he was was on his way to attend BJP’s Vikas Utsav. Gangwar, however, escaped unhurt.
The BJD workers showed black flags and raised slogans asking him to go back.
Friday early morning, workers had taken out a bike rally in the town protesting against BJP’s Vikas Utsav.
Acharya and several other BJD workers were later arrested.
