Sooraj Pancholi Removed Jiah Khan’s Foetus, Dumped It In Toilet: Report | News World India

CBI on Wednesday filed charge sheet in model-actress Jiah Khan suicide case in which actor Suraj Pancholi, the son of Bollywood couple Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, is an accused.

The charge sheet provides chilling details about the actor’s pregnancy and how her boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi aided her in the subsequent abortion. The charge sheet talks about how the termination of pregnancy left Jiah Khan an emotional wreck, possibly leading to her suicide.

A report in Mumbai Mirror gives details of the charge sheet. The report quoting an annonymus sources said that Jiah was four weeks pregnant when she informed Pancholi about it. They approached a physician and then a gynaecologist who provided them medicines for medical termination of pregnancy.

The report said, “After taking the medicine, Khan started haemorrhaging and called Pancholi for help. She was in pain and needed immediate medical attention but Pancholi allegedly asked her to wait and called up the gynaecologist for guidance. He was asked to rush Khan to hospital as the foetus had probably aborted but had not been expelled from the body, which is probably what led to the haemorrhaging.”

The report also said that Pancholi was afraid that if Khan got hospitalised, their relationship would become public knowledge and his career could grind to a halt even before taking off. Sooraj then decided to take matters in his own hand rather than risk going to a hospital. He extricated the foetus and disposed of it in the toilet, the charge sheet alleges.

This allegedly left a deep emotional scar on Khan as she was very possessive about Pancholi and the latter started avoiding her, possibly for the sake of his acting career. “This added to her depression which finally drove her to suicide,” the charge sheet says.

The earlier charge sheet filed by the Juhu police after Khan’s suicide does not mention this incident and it came to light only when the CBI recorded the statement of doctors, who are among the 11 new witnesses examined.

Jiah was found dead at her Juhu home here on June 3, 2013. Police later arrested Suraj on the basis of a six-page letter, purportedly written by the Bollywood starlet, and booked him for ‘abetment of suicide’.

The Bombay High Court had subsequently granted bail to Suraj. His bail application contended that the two were in a consensual relationship, and the letter was being misused by Jiah’s mother Rabiya.

In October 2013, Rabiya had moved the Bombay High Court alleging that her daughter had been murdered, seeking a CBI probe.

The suburban Juhu police on January 16, 2013, had filed a 447-page charge sheet in Andheri magistrate’s court before the case was transferred to CBI in July, 2014.
