Snapdeal Now Available In Hindi, Telugu And 10 Other Languages On Mobile | News World India

Snapdeal can be accessed in 12 Indic languages, including Hindi, Telegu, Gujrati, Tamil, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, Assamese and Punjabi.

Snapdeal, one of the leading online shopping sites, unveiled its multilingual sites for mobile users across India.

It will enable millions of Indians to overcome language barriers and shop online in their preferred regional language.

Snapdeal’s user interface on the mobile will be available in Hindi and Telugu. In time for India’s Republic Day on 26th January 2016, Snapdeal will be available in English and in 11 different regional languages – Hindi, Telugu, Gujarati, Tamil, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, Assamese and Punjabi.

The Rohit Bansal,  founder of the e-commerce firm, on Tuesday announced that now Snapdeal can be accessed in 12 Indic languages making it easy for consumers to read product descriptions and making a buying choice. Also, this multilingual service will be available for making payments and tracking the order.

Rohit Bansal, co-founder and COO of Snapdeal said, “Our decision to go multi-lingual is driven by the feedback that we have received from our users. We are sure this will enable millions of new users to join the digital commerce revolution that is sweeping across India.

The twelve Indic languages includes Hindi, Telegu, Gujrati, Tamil, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, Assamese and Punjabi.

Bansal further said, “Snapdeal is the first ecommerce company in the country to offer multiple regional language interfaces. With this, Snapdeal has expanded its reach to an additional 130 Million smart phone users in India.”
