Several people were shot at a New Orleans, Louisiana social club after-party when a gunman reportedly began randomly firing at hundreds of parade-goers.

According to media reports, the 10 people were being treated at three hospitals after the shootings. Russia Today put the number of people shot at 16.

Reports quoted New Orleans Police Superintendent Michael Harrison as saying that the shootings may be gang-related. They occurred during an after-party following an annual “second line” parade at Bunny Friend Park in the city’s 9th Ward.
