Shatrughan Sinha Supports Varun Gandhi As Face Of BJP For UP Elections | NWI

Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leader Shatrughan Sinha has backed Sultan MP Varun Gandhi as the party’s face for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections that are due next year.

According to reports, Sinha said that Varun Gandhi is has acceptability among the people of Uttar Pradesh and is a leader with wisdom.

“Varun Gandhi is known among the people as a fighter who strives hard for the party. He has the acceptability of the people of Uttar Pradesh and he is a leader with wisdom,” he said in a statement on Sunday.

Meanwhile, with hundreds of his hoardings dotting in Allahabad where the party was holding its two-day National Executive conclave, Gandhi’s name has emerged as the “poster boy” in Uttar Pradesh.

The party leaders had gathered in Allahabad to brainstorm the strategy for the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.

The party had almost painted the city saffron with its posters and hoarding on either side of the roads from railway station and airport to K.P. School ground, where the BJP conclave was being held.

However, it is Gandhi who was seen in most of these posters. One of them, with larger than life image of Varun Gandhi, reads: “UP ki karun pukar, abki baar BJP sarkar (UP’s passionate call for a BJP government this time) ”
