The Galaxy S6 Active is the phone for anyone who was upset when Samsung traded durability and water-resistance for thinness, metal and glass.
Samsung’s Active brand of smartphones are all about ruggedness and the S6 Active takes it to another level.
The smartphone is like a tank, with thick bumpers covering the edges and the three buttons below the screen are sealed to prevent any particles from seeping in.
The phone is dust-proof, shock-resistant and water-resistant.
It can survive not just water, but beverages as well, for upto 30 minutes, and if you’re one of those people who like to throw their phones, then well this beast can take a four-feet fall like nothing. The phone can literally take all the “torture” tests, the phone’s really, really tough.

The only real damage you need to worry about are the corners getting scratched a bit if it takes a really bad fall, except for that, the Gorilla Glass 4 screen is not one, that will let a scratch in.

It’s also got the same 3GB of RAM that can put even computers at shame with its smooth animations on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.
The phone comes with 32GB of internal storage. And just like the Galaxy S6, there’s no microSD card slot for storage expansion.

The 16-megapixel back camera and 5-megapixel selfie camera will make you throw away that DSL-R. Even with no optical image stabilization, the back camera still takes fantastic pictures, even in low-light thanks to its fast f/1.9 aperture lens.
The front camera takes selfies like a charm. Video recording tops out at 4K in 2,160p at 30 frames per second.
There’s no fingerprint sensor in the home button,as was necessary to make the phone water-resistant, but regular Galaxy user’s will miss the normal home-button as fingerprint sensor works so well.
One super-cool addition is the blue-colored “Active” button on the left side of the phone.

This button can be programmed to launch any app, which is highly useful, and will be very helpful if you have non-touchscreen gloves on.
The 3,500mAh battery, which is bigger than the Galaxy S6’s 2,500mAh battery and the Galaxy Note 4’s 3,220mAh.
The battery keeps on going, even after you’re battery has drained.
