Salman Khan Is Not Taking A Penny For Promoting #RioOlympics2016: Tarlochan Singh | NWI

Indian Olympic Association (IOA) vice-president Tarlochan Singh on Sunday revealed that Bollywood actor Salman Khan is not taking a penny for promoting #RioOlympics2016, as brand ambassador to Indian contingent.

Tarlochan Singh said “we’re getting his (Salman Khan) help & not giving him anything. IOA is not paying him a penny.”

Singh’s statement came in response to the objection raised by Milka Singh and wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt over the appointment of Bollywood celebrity as ambassador to sports’ event.

Mika Singh on Sunday said “IOA has taken the wrong decision. We don’t need any ambassador.Sportsmen representing the nation in #RioOlympics2016 are our ambassador.”

Countering Milka Singh, Tarlochan Singh said: “when celebrities who appeal to public come forward to help naturally we get more publicity which is good for sports.”

Dabangg Khan was appointed as the goodwill ambassador of the Indian contingent at #RioOlympics2016 on Sunday.

Later in the day, the actor said that he want to motivate Indian players to perform better at the event and secure more and more medals for India.
