A 22-year-old man allegedly committed suicide in Muzaffarnagar, by consuming poison after his parents refused to let him marry a woman belonging to a different community following which she also attempted suicide.
A 22-year-old man allegedly committed suicide in Muzaffarnagar, by consuming poison after his parents refused to let him marry a woman belonging to a different community following which she also attempted suicide.
Danish Qureshi wanted to marry the 23-year-old woman but after his parents stopped him from doing so he consumed poison on Monday and committed suicide, police said.
His parents later buried his body without informing police, they said.
On hearing the news, the woman came from Haridwar here and attempted suicide by consuming poison at his grave, they said.
She was rushed to a hospital in a serious condition.
