Reacting to the statement, the National Commission of Women (NCW) had earlier slapped a notice against Khan and demanded a response from him.

On Wednesday, NCW chief Lalitha Kumaramangalam said ” have received Salman Khan’s reply to the notice through his lawyer, he has not apologized, we are studying the reply.”
