President's Rule In Uttarakhand: Supreme Court To Restart Hearing On Centre's Plea Today | NWI

In a boost to BJP, Supreme Court on Wednesday stayed the Uttarakhand High Court order on lifting the President’s Rule in the state and ruled out floor test till April 29. Now next hearing will take place on May 3, 2016.

While hearing the plea, the apex court framed 7 questions pertaining to the rule and sought centre’s response on the same.

Here is the list of questions:

In favour of the Modi government, the Supreme Court last week had stayed the Uttarakhand High Court order on lifting the President’s Rule in the state till April 27.

A bench headed by Justice Dipak Mishra, while passing its orders, said the high court will deliver its reasoned judgement by April 26.

The order came after an hour-long, heated argument on the central government’s petition seeking a stay of the high court order.

The Centre moved the apex court challenging the Uttarakhand High Court order quashing the proclamation of President’s rule in the state.
