He said that these schemes will ensure that poor and pensioners can access to funds.
Pm Modi said that it makes him happy that Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana, the scheme he launched last year, led to opening of 15 crore bank accounts across the country.
He said that like Jan Dhan Yojana ensured that banking is possible for poor, this insurance scheme ensures the same.
“This scheme is poor friendly, only Rs 12 will ensure insurance protection of Rs 2 lakh,” PM Modi said adding that “Leaders bring schemes which will help them during polls. I am pradhan sewak to secure your future.”
Meanwhile, West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee congratulates the insurance companies and said, “We must make sure these schemes reach every strata of the society.”
