PM Condoles Demise Of Music Director M.S. Viswanathan | News World India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today condoled the demise of legendary music director M S Viswanathan, saying it is a major loss to music lovers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter on Tuesday and wrote:

The unfortunate demise of Shri MS Viswanathan is a major loss to music lovers. People across generations enjoyed his compositions: PM

“When it came to music, Shri MS Viswanathan was always ahead of his time. Condolences to his family & his several admirers,” he added. Viswanathan, who scored music for over 1000 films, passed away at his residence in Chennai early this morning following illness.

88-year-old Viswanathan was being treated at a private hospital in Chennai for geriatric problems. Viswanathan was a much sought after music director, who had scored music for a number of yesteryear hits, starring the then screen idols M G Ramachandran and Sivaji Ganesan.
