After a lot of speculations, Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus on Thursday launched its ‘Make In India’ OnePlus X mobile at starting price of Rs 16,999. In an event here, the company unveiled its two variants of its second flagship phone after OnePlus 2 in India. The OnePlus X Onyx version will be available for sale from November 5 on Amazon India site.
While the second, limited edition ceramic variant of the phone which is apparently costlier, will be available from November 24 at Rs 22,999.
Despite guarding it closely, specifications and other features of the smartphone have been leaked several times on internet.
On specification front, it will host a 5-inch AMOLED screen. Coupled with a 3GB Ram, it will be loaded with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and 16GB inbuilt storage. Packed with a 2524 mAh battery, it will come with a 13-megapixel main and an 8-megapixel front camera.
As NewsWorldIndia has reported in an exclusive report, the OnePlus X will be produced in India. Following the collaboration with Foxconn, the Chinese mobile-maker will assemble its latest launch in Sri City factory.
“We wanted to make really great products and not think too much about the market and profit margins,” OnePlus India’s General Manager Vikas Agarwal told media here.
“We want to make people feel something strong, something emotional. That’s why we like to try new things.
Clearing the air on its first smartphone, OnePlus said that they will not stop the production of OnePlus 1.
