Just within a year, OnePlus is known as one of the most trusted and stylish brand in Indian and overseas mobile market for its quality and researched products. The company successfully maintained its momentum with its latest OnePlus X in India.
The affordable flagship phone was launched almost three-week back and sold by Amazon India last week during an invite-based sale. The phones are now being delivered to the buyers who booked it during the sale between 5-7 November. The latest launch of OnePlus has surprised everyone with its sleek and stylish design.
The first-ever upper-budget segment smartphone of OnePlus is cheaper than its other products launched so far in the market.
Specifications:
5-inch Full HD AMOLED screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, 1920×1080 pixel resolution, 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset loaded with Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage. You can expand the memory up to 128GB, 13MP main camera with f/2.2 camera and 8MP f/2.4 front cam, 2,525 mAh battery
First Impression:
In first impression, it is compact, shiny, handy…..that means it comes within your grip. Like its predecessor, the company has given a screen-guard and transparent back cover to give matt-finish.
Why you should buy OnePlus X:
In Rs 16,999, you get a smartphone with 3GB RAM and latest 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset loaded with Adreno 330 GPU. Interestingly, there is no heating issue in the device that makes it special. The mid-budget smartphone is not flagship from this angle but it impresses me in every manner.
The functioning is very smooth. Pictures clicked by both the camera are beyond expectations. Even during the low-light situations, you will be able to click above average pictures with decent aperture. However, it depends on your usage but an average busy user will get around 8-10 hours of battery which is another add on point for me in this phone.
What is missing in OnePlus X:
Unlike its predecessor, the OnePlus X does not come with the Cynogen skin to give an unique user experience. It is a typical Android based device with so many unwanted apps preloaded in the device. It may annoy you but, again, the phone’s sale is based on invite-only procedure. So, after reading the review, if anyone wants to buy this smartphone, the person first has to visit the OnePlus India website and him registered for the invite to buy the latest OnePlus X.
Verdict:
A good camera, an awesome display screen, light-weighted phone is worth buying and comes at the top in my value-for-money smartphone list.
