The increase in technology advancement, especially smartphones, has not only brought changes in the use of internet and aggregate time spend online, but also brought drastic increase in the frequency with which people go online.
However, the most affected generation is the teenagers, who grew up using constant stream of information provided by smartphones and other gadgets since childhood. According to a recent poll conducted by the Pew Research Center, 24 percent of teenagers in the United States reported to be online almost constantly and another 56 percent stated to use the internet several times a day. This trend is clearly facilitated by mobile devices, as 94 percent of those teens, who access the internet on mobile devices do so on a daily basis, while only 68 percent of those without mobile access go online every day.
