Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday questioned the justification of bail to Swami Aseemanand, chargesheeted in the 2007 Samjhauta blasts case, saying how was it different from Pakistan’s explanation in Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi case.
“How is the Indian justification of bail for Aseemanand any different from the Pakistani justification of bail for Lakhvi?,” Omar wrote on micro blogging site Twitter.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday decided not to oppose the conditional bail granted to Aseemanand as it did not find any grounds for it.
This was stated by Minister of State for Home Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary in Lok Sabha while replying to a written question by Asaduddin Owaisi of All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul
Muslimeen (AIMIM).
