Noida Extension Case: Supreme Court Upholds HC Order, Relief To Flat Owners

Noida: In a huge relief to almost 1.5 lakh flat owners in Noida, Greater Noida and Noida extension area, the Supreme Court has upheld an Allahabad High Court order in relation with land acquisition. The top court has dismissed all petitions challenging the acquisition of land of 65 villages in the area.

This means that the farmers will not get back the land. However, Allahabad High Court in their order has said that the farmers will be entitled to 10% of the developed land. Also they will get a increase of 64.7 per cent in compensation. Farmers has challenged the order and sought back the land acquired by builders. Noida-Greater Noida authority had also challenged the HC order of increase in compensation.
