Nine 'ISIS Inspired' Minors Arrested In J&K | News World India

Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday caught nine Islamic State (ISIS) inspired juveniles and booked them under Provisions of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

According to the report published in Times of India, all the accused juveniles are alleged of hurling hurling petrol bombs, throwing stones and waving ISIS flags in the Valley during the protest rallies.

Report added that though the state administration have sent them to special homes, but it has created rpples among the security agencies, who have been continuously denying any ISIS influence on the valley youths.

The report states that the youths were radicalised by a North Africa-based person, identified as Al-Hayat and its leader as Abu-Bakr, who used to co-ordinate with them through a WhatsApp group.

Notably, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is the head of the dreaded terror outfit ISIS, Al-Hayat is the name of ISIS’ media wing.

Three of the youths were also trying to crossover to Pakistan for arms training, the report further said.

The Jammu and Kashmir police and intelligence agencies are in constant touch with the family of these youths and are accessing the groups for further information.
