Uttar Pradesh police have arrested two accused for the murder of NIA officer Mohammad Tanzil Ahmed.
According to reports, on Tuesday UP police arrest, Jainul and Reyaan in connection with the murder.
During a press conference, Vijay Meena IG Bareilly said that Muneer fired the killing shot, while Reyaan was driving the bike when he overtook Tanzil Ahmad’s car.
It was also revealed that Reyaan had some personal dispute with the NIA officer which was not settled and that he sought justice for it.
This comes days after the state police announced a reward of Rs. 50,000 to those providing information on the main accused Muneer who is on the run.

Hundreds of people were questioned by the police to crack the sensational case. Last Friday, a section of the media had claimed arrests in the case, however, the police later denied such a development.
Tanzil Ahmed, probing terror cases related to Indian Mujahideen, was shot dead on April 3 by two unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants who also wounded his wife when they were returning home from a wedding near UP’s Bijnor town.
The police had suspected some “personal matter” may have been the reason behind the killing. However, a formal announcement by the police is awaited.
