The company will also offer two other plans priced at Rs 650 and Rs 800, it announced on its website. Netflix is offering the first month of access free for users in India.

Netflix has officially announced its entry into India and 130 other markets in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe said CEO Reed Hastings during his CES keynote address. Netflix is now available in “all major countries” of the world except China.

Plans for the on-demand TV, movies, and video streaming powerhouse – now available in 190 countries – start in India at Rs. 500 per month for access on 1 SD screen. For Rs. 650 per month you can watch HD content on 2 screens at a time, and Rs. 800 per month will get you 4K content on up to 4 screens simultaneously.

Hastings said that the company will be adding new languages to its service.

Users can access Netflix through an app on a smart TV, a videogame console, a streaming player, a smartphone or a tablet.
