Congress leaders Sonia and Rahul Gandhi may not apply for bail rather choose to go to jail while appearing in the trial court on coming Saturday in National Herald case, a reports said on Wednesday.

Both the Congress leaders are among 7 people summoned by the court, willing to go to jail to prove their innocence, a source within the Congress party said.

The party is also planning a massive a show of strength on the same day outside the trial court, the source said.

To prepare for the big show, the Congress party has summoned its top brass and state leaders, including the chief ministers for an urgent meeting at the party headquarters in the national capital.

The party has been protesting against the government in Parliament, terming it as a political vendetta against both the leaders.
