National Anthem Controversy: Farooq Abdullah Apologises For Using Phone | NWI

National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah on Saturday issued an apology for using his phone during the National Anthem at Mamta Banerjee’s oath taking ceremony in Kolkata on Friday.

“I was standing for the national anthem, but if it offended anyone I am sorry,” he said in a statement today.

The veteran leader was caught on camera on Friday, with the phone clutched to his ear and speaking while the National Anthem was going on.
