Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan's Urs: Taj Mahal Offers Free Entry For Three Days | NWI

Here is a good News for all those who have a fascination towards the monument of love ‘Taj Mahal’.

From May 3 to May 5, you can visit the monument for free of cost as it observes Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan’s Urs (Birth anniversary).

Moreover, during these three days, you can also visit the graves of the royal couple at the monument.

This is the only time of the year when the graves of the royal couple are opened for the public and an 810-feet long multi-colour chadar, representing different religions are offered on the graves.

It will be the 361st year celebration which will start with the washing of the royals’ graves.

While on May 3 and 4 tourists entry will be free from 2pm to sunset, on the last day, May 5, it will be from morning till evening.
