The Supreme Court on Wednesday agrees to hear petition seeking registration of fresh FIR by CBI against Mayawati in Disproportionate assets case.
During hearing AG told the apex court that, “issues of donations to Mayawati had been heard by Income tax department and she had been given clean chit in each case”.
Mayawati’s lawyer told court that the petitioner Kamlesh Verma is an ex BSP member and this is case is nothing but political vendetta.
The Supreme Court last Friday adjourned hearing on the petition seeking a fresh CBI investigation against Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati in an alleged Disproportionate Assets case till April 14.
The apex court adjourned the matter as the petitioner wanted more time to file the rejoinder.
The petitioner wanted the registration of an FIR against Mayawati on the basis of material available in Taj Corridor scam probe.
