Keeping the current ruling of Supreme Court in mind, country’s leading utility vehicle manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), had announced that they would launch three new vehicles by March 31, 2016.
The auto major has already launched 7 new vehicles in this financial year. At the beginning of FY’15, the company announced to launch 10 new vehicles.
To curb pollution, the apex court has ordered a ban on the registration of new diesel luxury cars and SUVs with an engine capacity of over 2000cc or more until March 31, 2016 in the capital and in NCR.
The order may affect the sales of Mahindra as variants its top-selling products, Scorpio and XUV500, feature above 2,000cc.

The three new launches will be:
Mahindra KUV100
Expected price: Rs 4-6 lakh Engine: mFalcon G80, 3 cylinder & 1.2-litre unit (Petrol) mFalcon75, 1.2-litres (Diesel) Emission: BS IV
Mahindra stated that the new compact SUV would be launched on January 15, 2016
