Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the new NuvoSport SUV with prices starting at 7.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Thane).
Nuvo Sport was designed and developed at the Mahindra Research Valley (MRV) in Tamil Nadu.
If we talk about the design, this car is inspired by Mahindra’s own Scorpio and Quanto. The front looks pretty much similar to the new Scorpio and the rear clearly reminds us of the Quanto with a ‘Stepney’.
The company’s first launch for the 2016-17 fiscal, Nuvo Sport was designed and developed at the Mahindra Research Valley (MRV) in Tamil Nadu.
NuvoSport uses a 1.5-litre three-cylinder mHawk diesel mill tuned to produce 100bhp of power at 3750rpm and a peak torque of 240Nm between 1600-2800rpm.
The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and also comes with the optional 5-speed AMT unit. And, Like the KUV100, Mahindra has equipped the Nuvo Sport with Power and Economy modes.
The SUV is a 7-seater and also will be offered in a 5-seater configuration as well. The base variants include dual airbags and ABS.
This latest offering from Mahindra will compete against Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and its own TUV300.
