Three militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba were killed in a fierce day long gun battle by security forces at Khos Mohalla in Hajana area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
According to police Army and Police received information about presence of three militants including two Pakistanis in the village. During the search operation, militants fired from inside a house resulting into fierce encounter.
By afternoon, one militant was killed in the gunbattle, police said.
At least one more militant was still engaging the security forces and intermittent exchange of firing was continuing.
