The war between Kapil Sharma and Colors channel is still on! ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ is all set to go on-air from April 23 on Sony Entertainment Television, but now it will face a stiff competition as Colors will screen filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s widely lauded movie “Bajirao Mastani” instead of “Comedy Nights Bachao”.
Kapil came into the limelight through “Comedy Nights With Kapil”, which was replaced by “Comedy Nights Live” after the ace comedian had a falling out with Colors channel officials due to various reasons. Kapil is now coming up with “The Kapil Sharma Show” on a rival channel.

While many were hoping there will be a competition of sorts between Kapil and his contemporaries – Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh, hosts of “Comedy Nights Bachao” – the “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon” actor decided not to do so and changed the time slot of his show to 9 p.m.
Meanwhile, Colors has now decided to telecast the world television premiere of “Bajirao Mastani” which stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra in the lead.
“The Kapil Sharma Show” will mostly feature the same cast that was seen in “Comedy Nights with Kapil” including Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, Ali Asgar and Sumona Chakravarti among others.
The first episode of the show will feature Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
