iPhone 6 Explodes In Gurgaon, Apple Comments | News World India

The bend problem was not the only issue associated with Apple’s new set of smartphone’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+, a man in Gurgaon has filed an FIR against the company alleging that his two day old iPhone 6 exploded while he was talking on a call.

Kishan Yadav , a restaurant owner, registered an FIR claiming that he bought a grey-coloured 64 GB iPhone 6 from a leading mobile shop at Galleria market, Gurgaon for Rs 60,000 on June 18.

After two days, the iPhone 6 heated up and exploded when he was talking on a call using hands-free mode. Yadav threw his phone out of the car when he found the handset had become very hot, and it blew up.

Yadav went to the shop owner from where he brought the phone, but was directed to the Apple service center.

This is the first such case in India, but one such incident was reported in Long Island, US, when a man complained about an iPhone bursting into flames in his pocket, giving him third degree burns.

“However the company hadn’t received any such complaint in past, we are looking into the Gurgaon matter,” an Apple representative said.
