The BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur said that Pune, which is one among the newest Test centres, might be given the fourth and final Test match between India and South Africa if Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) doesn’t ‘bring all necessary permission.’
DDCA has to come back to the board with all permissions from the state government by November 17; if they fail, then the venue would be changed to Pune,” BCCI secretary said at a press conference following the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Mumbai.
The final match is scheduled for December 3rd at the Feroz Shah Kotla.

BCCI has also announced five new Test centres (Visakhapatnam, Ranchi, Indore, Pune and Rajkot).
Apparently, DDCA is seeking help from Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government regarding an order relating to entertainment tax served directing it to pay Rs 24.45 crore.
The order asks cricket association to deposit the amount within 15 days from the receipt failing which ‘necessary action will be initiated under the provisions of the Delhi Entertainments and Betting Tax Act 1996’.

“We are going to meet Kejriwal and request him if this amount could be settled after the Test is conducted. The Test is a big event for all Delhiites. Generally, the government helps in such cases. The CM is a gentleman and we hope he will understand our position,” DDCA treasurer Ravinder Manchanda said.
