A normal colored African lion couple gave birth to an extremely rare white cub on last week on July 15 at Ellen Trout Zoo in Lufkin, Texas.

Reportedly, the zoo officials were closely keeping eye on mother Adia for the past 110 days and discovered the infant cub at around 3:30 PM. According to the zoo curator Celia Falzone, the cub’s fur turned stark white due to the presence of recessive gene.
Gender was determined to be male and the cub and it weighs 4.5 pounds.

The newborn is the second cub of Adia and both of them are in good health, Ellen zoo posted on its Facebook page.
This rare cub is first of its kind in East Texas.
