‘Udta Punjab’ is all set to release on Friday with the film clearing one last hurdle. On Thursday, the Punjab and Haryana High Court dismissed a petition against it. Hours before its release, producer Anurag Kashyap along with other Bollywood celebrities made an appeal.
The controversy-laden film, which finally got a clearance for release from the Bombay High Court after a bitter battle with the censor board, has now leaked online.
The film has been leaked on various torrent websites with ‘for censor’ written in the top left corner of the print, sparking speculation about censor board’s alleged role. Here’re the appeals from the B-town:
