Honda has revealed the first official sketches of the upcoming seven-seater compact SUV BR-V.
The sketch release comes ahead of the BR-V’s global debut at the 2015 Gaikinodo Indonesian International Auto Show.
The Honda BR-V will be the third model that will be developed by the Thailand-based Honda R&D Asia Pacific Co. Ltd.
The new car is being termed as the new-generation crossover utility vehicle, the BR-V will be first launched in the Asian markets.

Few units of the Brio-based compact SUV, codenamed ‘2SJ’, were imported to India last month for testing and development purpose.
Rumours of Honda’s intention of launching the compact SUV in India have been buzzing eversince.
To further give weight to the speculations, Honda has now released the official sketches of the BR-V.
The company claims that the 1.5ltr petrol engine of the Honda BR-V compact SUV will deliver “sporty performance and great fuel efficiency”.

This engine will get power from two automated “advanced transmissions”.
A 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine might be offered for the Indian market.
The engine will be powered with 98.6PS at 3, 600rpm and 200Nm of torque at 1, 750rpm.
The BR-V sports a “tough and solid” exterior, has high ground clearance with large alloy wheels and roof rails. Projector headlights, skid guards and body cladding are among the other features noticed in the sketches according to the company claims.
