Haryana RS Polls Row: R K Anand Threatens To lodge FIR Against Subhash Chandra | NWI

Stunned by the outcome in the elections to the Rajya Sabha from Haryana where votes of 14 Congress legislators were declared “invalid”, INLD candidate and eminent lawyer R K Anand on Monday said that they are going to file an FIR against Zee TV chairman and business tycoon Subhash Chandra.

While speaking to the media, he said “Unhone galat tarike se pange le liya hamare se.” On asking about against whom they are going to lodge FIR, Anand said, “FIR karenge Zee TV waale ke khilaf (Subhash Chandra), JP ke khilaf aur attorney officer ke khilaf.”

With a strong backing from Congress for RK Anand, it was expected that he will be winning the polls. However, media baron Subhash Chandra defeated Independent candidate R K Anand on Saturday, according to the results.

A Congress delegation on Monday approached the Election Commission to protest against the “misuse of government machinery” in the Rajya Sabha elections for two seats in Haryana which led to independent candidate R K Anand losing the poll.

The party suspected internal sabotage in the elections including by former chief minister B S Hooda.

Hariprasad alleged that there was deliberate fraud in the election by switching the pen meant for marking the votes so as to make the Congress votes invalid.

The votes of 14 Congress MLAs were declared invalid leading to the loss of Anand who was otherwise expected to win.

On his part, the party said there has been a “big conspiracy” and the truth should come out.
