Lenovo and Google came together to launch world’s first 3D smartphone that see and sense real things in its surrounding. Named as project Tango, the demo was unveiled in CES 2015 on Friday in Las Vegas.
The Chinese company is authorised to produce first lot of devices in technical collaboration with Google. According to the reports, the device will be launched in the price of USD 600 that is around Rs 30,00 in Indian market.
“To break new ground in today’s hypercompetitive smartphone and tablet industries, we must take innovation risks – it’s the only way to truly change the way people use mobile technology,” Chen Xudong, senior officials of Lenovo mobile said in a statement.
The Tango project will become an extension of Google’s VR cardboard project. This Tango mobile device will work like a virtual reality headgear.
The demo proved that the mobile can sense the table which was actually in real, lied beside the smartphone. The mobile screen was able to sense the table.
The project Tango was first time launched in February 2014 that relies on a 3D-sensing clip made by a startup venture Movidius.
