The World Health Organisation has announced a good news for all coffee lovers as it drops Coffee’s status as a possible carcinogen.
The move comes 25 years after the group said beverage may lead to bladder cancer.
Now, the agency says that drinking very hot beverages “probably” causes cancer of the oesophagus, lifting suspicion from coffee, it said if consumed at “normal serving temperatures” coffee doesn’t cause cancer.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the about-face by the WHO came after its International Agency for Research on Cancer reviewed more than 1,000 studies that showed coffee is not a cancer culprit.
