Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday came in defence of the Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje and said that “no minister is tainted.”
A day after Congress came up with a ‘proof’ having Vasundhara Raje’s signature to support Lalit Modi, the Rajasthan Chief Minister reportedly met top leadership of the BJP in Delhi and accepted that she did sign on the documents.
According to sources, the documents were signed four years back in which Raje backed appeal of immigration of the former IPL Commissioner.
However, the BJP is no mood to ask Raje to resign as Rajasthan CM.
Meanwhile, Congress and Aam Aadmi Party workers launched a massive protest against the BJP and its leaders including HRD Minister Smriti Irani.
According to reports, soon after Congress released the document of Raje supporting Lalit Modi, she has been asked by the BJP leadership to confirm whether she had actually signed the document. They are also trying to find if the document is genuine and also if the signatures are forged.

Both Raje and Sushma Swaraj are accused of helping the former IPL commissioner Modi to get travel documents in the United Kingdom.
However, the BJP is playing safe and keeping a keen eye on the recent developments. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has once again maintained that no one from the BJP will resign over the allegations.
“Our ministers do not have to resign. This is not their (Congress’) government. This is NDA government,” Rajnath Singh told reporters at the Cabinet briefing earlier on Wednesday.
But Congress is not ready to let the issue die down.
Congress has stepped up the pressure against Vasundhara Raje by releasing a document signed by her which supports the immigration appeal of Lalit Modi.
The seven-page document was released by senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh during a AICC briefing here on Wednesday.
“She has been lying all along,” Jairam Ramesh said while showing the document to the media cameras.
“The curtains are off, the secret is out. The document signed by Raje dated August 18, 2011 supporting Lalit Modi’s immigration case before the UK government is out. When the issue first came to light, Raje feigned ignorance and then said she does not remember,” Ramesh added.
Ramesh said that by helping Lalit Modi, Raje had violated the law as per the Indian Penal Code, Prevention of Corruption Act, PMLA and Passport Act.
“She should immediately resign. It should be followed by the resignation of Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj and HRD Minister Smriti Irani,” he said.
