Ex-Congress MP Nilesh Rane Surrenders In Abduction Case | NWI

Ex-Congress MP Nilesh Rane, son of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Naraya, surrendered on Friday in Chiplun, Maharashtra. The Bombay High Court asked him surrender after his anticipatory bail was refused in a matter where Rane had allegedly beaten a party worker.

Soon after the surrender, Rane was taken for a medical examination. Also, he will be produced in a local court on Friday.

The Bombay High Court on Tuesday refused to grant pre-arrest bail to Rane.  Justice Ajay Gadkari asked him to surrender before police on or before May 23 while allowing Rane to withdraw his anticipatory bail petition.
