While announcing the move at a press conference here, Haryana Tourism Minister Ram Bilas Sharma said that “both the actors would be invited in the upcoming Surajkund International Crafts Mela on February 1, 2016.”

Dharmendra hails from Sahnewal in Ludhiana district of Punjab.

The Minister said that this year, Telangana and China would participate in the fair as theme state and theme country, respectively.

Hema Malini also endorses products of Yoga Guru Ramdevs Patanjali. Ramdev was earlier appointed as brand ambassador by the Manohar Lal Khattar led BJP Government.

Sharma said that Gita Jayanti Samaroh was organised in Kurukshetra at state-level and in all the districts of the state.

In reply to a question, the Tourism minister said that Sahitya Akademis in Haryana would be re-constituted in January to provide opportunity to writers.

To another question, Sharma said that school children would be taught shlokas of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita from the next academic session.

He said that “the wrong education policy of the previous government had led to lowering the standards of education.”
