DDCA Scam: Kejriwal Demands PM Modi’s Resignation For Ordering CBI Raid To His Office | News World India

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resignation for ordering the CBI to raid his office.

He told the Delhi assembly that the December 15 raid was meant to protect Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in the affairs of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA).

Delhi CM said, “Modi got CBI raids “conducted” solely to “protect” Finance Minister Arun Jailey”.

CM Kejriwal also supported his Principal Secretary, Rajender Kumar, saying that the raids produced nothing and alleged that the CBI raid was conducted to glean information on the whistleblower who provided the note in DDCA file mentioning Arun Jaitley’s alleged scam.

Jaitley has sought Rs 10 crore in damages following the AAP leaders’ statements on alleged Delhi and District Cricket Association irregularities.

Earlier, in a strong show of support for Arun Jaitley, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said the Finance Minister will come through “with flying colours” against charges of corruption levelled against him by the opposition in a same way L K Advani did in the Hawala case.

Batting for Jaitley, accused by Congress and AAP of financial irregularities in Delhi cricket body when he headed it, Modi hit out at Congress at BJP’s parliamentary party meeting for levelling “wrong and manufactured” allegations to “defame” the government.

At the parliamentary party, no reference was made to similar charges made by BJP MP Kirti Azad, who was not present in the meeting.
