Cong Shifts 14 Independent Karnataka MLAs To Mumbai Hotel Ahead Of RS Polls | NWI

In a sudden development ahead of Rajya Sabha polls in Karnataka, the Congress party on Monday moved 14 independent MLAs from the state to a hotel in Mumbai.

This move comes a day after a leading news channel aired a ‘sting operation’ showing a group of MLAs seeking money for their votes in election to four Rajya Sabha seats from the state.

However, there has been no official confirmation from the party in this regard.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission had sought a report from the State Chief Electoral Officer following media reports about the alleged ‘sting operation’.

Rajya Sabha elections for the four Rajya Sabha seats of Karnataka will be held on June 11.
